RMC Ontario Season 3 – All The Details

RMC Ontario is proud to announce the launch of its third season, building on two years of steady growth and strong support from the Ontario karting community. What began as an ambitious new championship has quickly established itself as a premier Rotax series in the province, and 2026 is set to be the biggest and most competitive season yet.

In its inaugural season, RMC Ontario awarded Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals tickets to its Junior and Senior champions. While Year One was very much a building year, the response from the Ontario karting community exceeded expectations. Strong grids, exciting racing, and enthusiastic support resulted in a successful debut, with Cole Medeiros (Junior) and Arnaud Sabourin (Senior) earning the honour of representing Team Canada at the RMC Grand Finals.

Season Two marked a significant step forward. Mini Max was added to the championship, expanding opportunities for younger drivers and strengthening the Rotax development pathway in Ontario. With growing participation and momentum, RMC Ontario continued to elevate the level of competition while maintaining a strong focus on professionalism, fairness, and racer experience.

For 2026, RMC Ontario builds on that momentum with its most ambitious season to date. The championship will now include four classes—Mini Max, Junior Max, Senior Max, and the newly added DD2—crowning four champions across a four-event championship held at four different venues. The addition of DD2 represents an important milestone for the series and further reinforces RMC Ontario’s commitment to supporting drivers throughout the full Rotax ladder.

RMC Ontario was also proud to follow its 2025 champions at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals, where the series was represented by Mateo Pai (Mini), Leonardo Serravalle (Junior), and Ryan Maxwell (Senior). A special thank-you goes to CKN for being on site and capturing the journey of the champions throughout the event. RMC Ontario looks forward to continuing this coverage in 2026.

The 2026 championship will consist of four events held at four different venues, each presenting a unique challenge and rewarding well-rounded, adaptable drivers. With a mix of familiar circuits and new experiences, the calendar has been designed to test consistency, racecraft, and versatility across the season.

One of the most exciting developments for Season Three is the addition of a brand-new venue to the RMC Ontario calendar: Toronto Motorsports Park. While best known for its drag racing heritage, the facility also features a high-speed road course traditionally used for car testing. In October, RMC Ontario conducted on-track testing with Rotax Junior and Senior drivers to ensure the circuit was suitable for championship-level kart racing.

The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Drivers highlighted the fast, flowing nature of the layout, featuring high-speed corners, flat-out sections, and an exciting chicane. Despite the characteristically bumpy surface, the circuit was widely praised for its racing quality. As one driver put it, “It would be an absolute shame if we didn’t come back here and have an RMC event.”

Toronto Motorsports Park

Toronto Motorsports Park has been very welcoming, with Uli Bieri commenting, “Toronto Motorsports Park is excited to host an event alongside RMC Ontario for the first time ever. Welcoming Ontario’s top karting talent to TMP is a major milestone, and we can’t wait to be part of an unforgettable weekend of racing.”

The 2026 RMC Ontario championship will begin at Hamilton Karting Complex, followed by a first-ever RMC Ontario visit to Mosport Karting Centre, before heading to Toronto Motorsports Park and concluding at the Canadian Open July 25-26 where it will be 1.5X points. 4 very different tracks presenting 4 very different challenges.

Mosport Karting Centre is equally enthusiastic about hosting the championship. Curtis Fox, General Manager of Mosport Karting Centre, commented, “Mosport Karting Centre is proud to welcome the RMC Ontario Championship to our facility for the very first time. Hosting this series is an exciting opportunity for our team and a meaningful moment for our regional karting community. We are committed to delivering a professional, world-class environment for competitors and their families, and we look forward to showcasing our track and dedicated staff during an exceptional Round 2 weekend.”

As Hamilton Karting Complex’s Danielle Duffy added, “We can’t wait to see who rises to the challenge and becomes this year’s champion.”

With four unique venues on the calendar—some familiar and others entirely new—the 2026 RMC Ontario season is expected to reward adaptability, precision, and consistency. New tracks in particular are anticipated to act as a competitive equalizer and could play a decisive role in determining the championship outcome.

The 2026 RMC Ontario schedule is as follows:

  • Round 1: May 30–31 – Hamilton Karting Complex
  • Round 2: June 20–21 – Mosport Karting Centre
  • Round 3: July 18–19 – Toronto Motorsports Park (Cayuga)
  • Round 4: July 25-26 – Canadian Open – iCar (1.5X Points)

As RMC Ontario enters its third season, the focus remains on delivering a fair, professional, and well-organized championship.
